Taking the guesswork out
of treating suspected heart attacks in the ER
Aggrastat is a treatment for acute coronary syndrome (ACS), a type of heart attack in patients showing a distinctive non-ST elevation ECG graph. The product had especially good data in patients with coexisting diabetes, improving long-term survival prospects by 42%.
Since most patients with ACS present in emergency rooms, where their diabetic status is frequently unknown, we were convinced that this positioning could serve as a beachhead from which to expand the use of the brand.
We illustrated a variety of patients lined up in a non-ST shaped line and asked the question, "How many lives would using Aggrastat allow you to save?"
