Diosynth wanted a campaign that would transcend the “photograph of factory and vats” advertising so typical of the contract-manufacturing sector. Using the smart visual pun of an origami motif, echoing how biotechnology is concerned with folding proteins to create new compounds, we created a brand promise with both visual and verbal impact. By dramatizing the company’s ability to take its customers’ drug prototypes (the origami figures they “think up”) and develop processes to make large quantities of those compounds commercially available, working it out to show the singular prototype now massively proliferated in a real-world scenario, the campaign was able to capture the outcome of large-scale commercialization that customers were seeking.
